Choose from a daily evening tour to explore under the cover of night, or opt for an afternoon tour on weekends. Meet your licensed tour guide at the Revere Bell in front of the Salem Visitor Center and set off on an easy walking tour through the historic town center. Guides are not costumed actors, but real historians and experienced paranormal researchers.

Hear about what really happened during the famous witch trials of the 17th century. Visit the Old Burying Point cemetery to see the tombstone of trial judge John Hathorne, and learn about the slave Tituba, who played a key role in the witch hysteria and was herself accused of voodoo practices. Keep an eye out for specters at the original Witch Dungeon, and get help examining your own photos for evidence of paranormal activity such as orbs, ectoplasm, and apparitions. See real photos taken at some of Salem’s most haunted sites that bear traces of ghostly activity, and learn about the scientific methods used by ghost hunters today.

Beyond witches, Salem has been the center of other dark legends including accounts of vampirism. Hear shocking tales of New England’s vampire folklore and documented cases of blood drinking for a true and disturbing sense of how this once-sleepy town became New England’s horror capital.

Our Tour guide was entertaining and very knowledgable of the history of Salem and ghost hunting. Our group survived the 30 degree chilly temperatures, because it was COLD! We’ll definitely go back in the fall during Halloween.

We both weren’t up to the walking so we just didn’t go. We knew it would be too much walking for either of us.

Great Tour About Haunted Salem and Witch Trials
MinnesotaGirl

This was a very enjoyable tour. We were visiting the Boston/Salem area for a week and had a night tour almost every night in Salem. This was one of the best. Our tour guide was a man and I wish I could remember his name. He was very dramatic and an excellent speaker. He had us hanging on his words and he was also pretty unflappable. At one point, he was deep into his story about the pressing death of Giles Corey and a passerby, who must have been pretty intoxicated or else disturbed, began cursing. He handled it all very well and even had us laughing at his responses and also kept it from escalating in any way. I learned a lot and would definitely take this tour again

Mike was our tour guide and he was absolutely phenomenal. This tour is very entertaining yet so informative about the history of Salem! We were lucky that someone in our group had a device that was like a ghost detector and it would occasionally detect energies on this tour! We also had an orb in one of the photos we took! SPOOKY!!!!!!!
