This activity will end right where it started.
This Québec City sightseeing river cruise departs from the Chouinard Pier. Climb aboard the AML Louis Jolliet, a 170-foot cruise ship named after the famous French-Canadian explorer. Choose from any of the three distinctive exterior terraces or settle into the air-conditioned dining area. Either way, the views from the Saint Lawrence River will be breathtaking.

Enjoy this entertaining and educational sightseeing tour of Québec City and the surrounding countryside, cruising from the Cap Diamant to Montmorency Falls. The Cap Diamant, or Cape Diamond, is the official name of the cape and promontory on which Québec City is located. It’s formed by the confluence of a bend in the Saint Lawrence River to the south and east and the much smaller Saint-Charles River to the north. Montmorency Falls is an 83-meter-high waterfall, an impressive 30 meters higher than iconic Niagara Falls.

Some of the sites to be seen include the historic Fairmont Le Château Frontenac hotel, Canada’s most-beloved hotel and the most-photographed hotel in the world and the historical island borough of Île d’Orléans.

There’s also something to be learned on this live-narrated cruise. Find out about the history of Québec City, the Saint Lawrence River and all the aforementioned points of interest along the way from the enthusiastic, costumed guide, dressed as Louis Jolliet himself.

A variety of beverages and snacks are available for purchase on board the boat.

Ticket collection was seamless and the departure point was easy to find. Beautiful scenery (can really capture the Frontenac hotel the best when on the river) and we learnt lots of information about Quebec from our guide dressed in costume and he inspired us to watch a Netflix docuseries about a maple syrup heist! Guide spoke both English and French. We also got to try whisky with maple syrup on board - delicious!

Great views and interesting facts about the area. At night, I’m sure the lights are beautiful. Plenty of room and seats available on the 11:30 cruise.

Underwhelming.

Guess it depends on your cup of tea. For us this was basically a bus ride on the water. The falls were too far away to truly appreciate the raw power and the river is just another river/seaway. Generally underwhelming. Save your money and take an Uber directly to the falls and back.

The guide did an excellent job in both English and French. He wore a period costume and gave not only historical facts but also information on the city and other visitor information. He made the cruise into a great experience otherwise it would have been too short and did even go around the Orléans island so we have not found the trip satisfying at all.

Great boat, excellent life narrator, recommended.

The tour guide was outstanding!! Enjoyed every minute of it. He provide a great historic perspective to the City as well as to the original French settlers. Loved his historic attire. We have done many other River tours in other cities, but we are both in agreement this ranks among the best. The boat is also great, maybe we were fortune as to timing, but lots of room on the decks to sit, enjoy the views, and the narration. Bill and Nellie K

I personally did not like the cruise, because we were not cruising on the sides of the water. We spent all the time in the middle of the water, we couldn't see much of what the city looked like. I would recommand the bus tour instead because you are on land and you can see everything up a little closer. The boat had a suvenir shop, which did not having too many interesting things, i have the kids some money to buy there because the money had to be done before leaving canada. That is just our opinion, i also enjoyed the cross over boat better than the cruise.
