Fort Ticonderoga Admission Ticket

The fort opens at 9:30 and the first tour is at 10:15. That initial tour is offered 3 times during the day. It is an excellent educational tour with a lot of information provided. The fort is open until 5:00 PM. (Our Viator ticket said that the tour was from 9:30-10:30, which was not exactly correct.) The Fort Ticonderoga experience is a combination of group tours and self-guided exploration. A 1774 era lady built a campfire and prepared noon meal for the troops before our eyes. The military men gave a demonstration on how to load and shoot their muskets with military precision. There was a tour of the fort gardens. There is a museum of relics from the time of the American Revolution. In the afternoon, there was a cannon-shooting demonstration! There is a small gift shop and a small cafe. Fort admission included a token to tour nearby Mount Defiance, where the British installed cannons capable of raining down on Fort Ticonderoga, 2 miles away! Many sidewalks are gravel, but everything is accessible by wheelchair or scooter for people with trouble walking. We highly recommend the Fort Ticonderoga experience for young, old, and families!
