we covered. most of the major landnarks and monuments, but some of the smithsonian museums were either closed or under renovation. the gray and overcast day was however brightened by our tour guide Brian who was not only a walking encyclopedia but an excellent singer.

Most memorable would be difficult to pinpoint any one event. There were so many memorable experience. Brian brought to life the highlights of the trip. Throughly enjoyed the whole day. Many barriers were down, which made it enjoyable to get up closer than we would have just a few months earlier. Brian and Michael (driver) made a great team.

We debated whether to take this tour - and we are very happy that we did. If you are interested in seeing DC but not too curious about it, this day trip covers everything you need: we went through all the major sites and received great explanations and interesting information from our tour guide, Ben. He talked about DC as well as American history, which was fantastic. The rides there and back are long, but the bus was super comfy: we had a lot of space for the legs and could lean back (honestly probably better transportation than any other public bus / train / plain). All in all - it's a great tour to see the major sites of DC, Ben the tour guide does an amazing job, and the transportation is more comfy than other options. If you wanna see DC in a day - this is the tour for you.

People said that we would be tired after the long bus ride but my husband & I LOVED it! We were not pooped at all and wouldn't have minded if it was even longer. Our local guide, MOSES along with DEMITRI our bus driver, made the tour very efficient and full of detailed stories. We recommend this Washington DC Day Trip from NYC.....very good!
