Learn to eat like a local on this fantastic, filling, half-day tour of Brooklyn’s trendsetting dining scene. Make your way to Manhattan’s West Village, where you’ll meet your local foodie guide and climb aboard a comfortable coach.

After crossing the Williamsburg Bridge, begin by exploring Brooklyn’s hippest, hottest neighborhood. From acclaimed farm-to-table restaurants to third-wave coffee-roasting cafés, Williamsburg is a launching point for many popular culinary trends. It’s also home to many traditional ethnic enclaves, including an ultra-Orthodox Hasidic Jewish community and deep Italian roots, so you can get an authentic taste of Italy with Neapolitan pizza and a creamy cannoli.

Continue on to Greenpoint, Brooklyn’s traditionally Polish neighborhood, and pop in at a Polish restaurant to sample kielbasa and pierogis.

View the beautiful Prospect Park and have a big slice of Neapolitan Pizza in Park Slope for an authentic taste of Italy. Then explore the deep Italian roots of Carroll Gardens with a creamy cannoli. In the DUMBO neighborhood at the base of the Manhattan Bridge, take a digestion break with a short stroll to the newly refurbished Brooklyn Bridge Park, where you’ll want your camera to capture unbeatable views of the Manhattan skyline. Then indulge your sweet tooth with the famous Bonbons of the Jacques Torres chocolate factory. Your appetite sated, enjoy the urban views on the return drive to Greenwich Village, where your tour concludes.

Better Than We Could’ve Imagined

Our tour guide Laurie was absolutely amazing! 5 stars hands down. If she wasn’t giving the tour, it may not have been as good. She was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Brooklyn, the culture, the people responsible for it, down to how the water flows through the city. Her stories were an added bonus. So glad I was able to take this tour with my teenaged son.

This was a fantastic tour. Laurie was a great tour guide with a wealth of great facts about the area and the food. All the stops were wonderful and the restaurants were very accommodating. The bus was super comfortable and the driver navigated us through some very tight places with ease. Overall I highly recommend this tour.

Are you interested in a bespoke history tour of Brooklyn, catered with its finest cuisine? Do you want to know why the Brooklyn Dodgers left for LA (hint, it has to do with an overly-powerful and ambitious city planner.) If so, then book this tour! Laurie & Isaac were our gracious hosts spanning 5 hours and 6 distinct ethnic cuisines on a brisk, rainy October day. The tour was well paced, (perhaps, to allow for digestion) and highlighted the cultural and historical contributions of Brooklyn from the American Revolution through today. We would absolutely book this tour and agency again, hopefully with Laurie & Isaac!

Loved this experience! So happy we did this, Laurie was fantastic and taught us all about the origins of downtown Brooklyn. My husband and I are huge foodies and enjoyed everything we tried. A must do for sure. Bonus for us was the walk across the Brooklyn bridge at the end, the day was perfect.
