Your Colorado River and Grand Canyon sightseeing tour begins with a hotel pickup in Las Vegas. Head to the Boulder City Municipal Airport for your 1-hour round-trip flight through the Grand Canyon's West Rim.

After boarding the helicopter, pass over sites such as the famous Hoover Dam, a modern marvel of engineering; the aqua waters and sandstone shorelines of beautiful Lake Mead; and Fortification Hill, an extinct volcano, before soaring along the winding path of the mighty Colorado River and into the incredible landscape of the Grand Canyon, one of the seven natural wonders of the world.

After leaving the Grand Canyon, the return flight will include panoramic views of the rugged Mojave Desert wilderness and more before arriving back in Boulder City.

From there, take a short drive to the Colorado River launch area for a boat float at the base of the Hoover Dam. Climb aboard a comfortable raft, and meander along the river through the Black Canyon. Keep an eye out for bighorn sheep, osprey, and great blue heron in their natural setting. Then stop at a secluded beach to take an optional dip in the clear water, and enjoy a picnic box lunch.

Jimmy the helicopter pilot was friendly, funny & knowledgeable. The flight was phenomenal and hit on all the beautiful points of the canyon. The staff was nice & friendly. We booked a flight & pontoon trip but there was only kayaking. If I hadn't called to ask a question about changing facilities, I wouldn't have known about the change from pontoon to kayaks. It was WORTH the change. Kayaking was amazing & the guides were great. The lunch after the trip, on the bus, heading back to our hotel was very good!

The helicopter flight was fabulous. I highly recommend the pilot, Brandon Foss. We had a couple of nervous passengers, and Brandon was very soothing, very knowledgeable. The raft float was nice too. We saw a mountain sheep, bald eagle and more.

A 70 mins helicopter flight over Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon - superb scenery. Very nice pilot feeding us with information about history and facts on the area. Only little downside, seating is 2 in front and 4 in back, with 2 in the back middle unable to take nice pictures. A landing with rotation half way would have been great. Then we waited for a bus to pick us up for for the next part, being served with snacks and drinks, and given the option to purchase souvenirs. Nice staff. Then a luxury bus took us from AirPort to a meeting place, then to the base of Hoover Dam, for a slow rafting ride down Colorado river. Little snack supplied, and cold water available all the way. Bus and raft drivers were both feeding us with info on the area (which was consistent :) ). Relaxing time enjoying nature and scenery, including a dip in the fresh river. Possibility to take countless pictures of nature while riding through the different parts of the river. Overall a superb experience.

We had such an awesome experience. The helicopter flight was about 1 hr 20 min (longer than we anticipated) and the pilot was phenomenal. Very professional and knowledgeable. The rafting trip was soooo wild..!! Incredible scenery and wildlife (mountain goats and hawks) and the guide was insanely cool (Jeff a.k.a Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs). Made it very enjoyable with commentary and facts to created a very memorable experience.

Great River float, but horrid Helicopter

Our tours were switched around, because we were originally scheduled to river float in the afternoon. However, that wasn’t an issue. We had a very detailed tour of the Hoover Dam area, and at least a couple of hours floating down the Colorado River. Our driver was very knowledge and friendly. We got soaked from the water spraying, but it was quite refreshing, and relaxing as we had a concert and late night before. I thoroughly enjoyed, and would recommend it. However, the helicopter ride was not very pleasant. I was crammed in the front between the pilot and my male companion. I am a small person, and had to sit sideways because I didn’t have enough room to sit back, and even hung over the seat, The shoulder belt dug unto my neck as well. There should have only been one person sitting in the front beside the pilot. The scenery was spectacular, but because of that I just wanted the ride over with. I was really disappointed in that, and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Helicopter tour was awesome. Vince was our pilot. He was very knowledgeable and provided useful historic and geologic information. He made sure everyone was ok and enjoying the trip. Matt was our skipper for the float trip. He was also very knowledgeable and presented interesting information. Our float was in the morning but was still rather hot. Matt found shade for us and stopped twice for us to cool off in the water. He also pointed out big horn sheep in the mountains on our float. We all enjoyed both adventures.
