Nice way to spend a couple hours at the grand Canyon

I would have rated this trip higher had we have been told when booking that the Hoover Dam was closed because of Covid. I was really excited to see the Hoover Dam and it was one of the factors when booking this tour instead of other cheaper offerings. In the description highlights it sounds like you are going to stop at several different locations when in fact most places are a part of the hike you are taking while at the Grand Canyon. With that being said we stopped at the Hoover Dam Lodge to grab breakfast (included with the tour) It was comparable to gas station food but was still a nice perk. We stopped for a scenic view of Lake Mead which was a nice view. Then Stopped at Seligman, AZ along route 66 at a cute little gift shop. The tour alsi included lunch at Subway. Finally we were allotted around 3 hours to explore the Grand Canyon Rim Trail (about a 2 1/2 mile trail). Being able to explore at our leisure (within reason) was fantastic. At least on the day we were there the weather was perfect, the crowd was minimal and the views were phenomenal. At the end of the trail there were souvenir shops and the tour driver bought icecream. The tour guide, Adam, was accommodating and friendly. He was always there with an offer of taking a picture, or just pleasant conversation. The van was very clean and Adam was a great driver. The fact that the tour was for small groups was also a positive. There was 7 of us total which made the travel to and from comfortable. I would reccomend this tour if you have an extra day on Vegas and want to do something away from the city. Also it's a good tour if seeing the Grand Canyon is on your bucket list but you don't want to build your whole vacation around it. The drive is long but well worth it to spend the day at the Grand Canyon and you get back to Vegas just in time to enjoy the nightlife.

Thanks for the timing to review your trip. We appreciated you enjoyed your day. Information about Hoover Dam is at the section "Additional Info", this is the only place we have to disclaim it at the system. Unfortunately Hoover Dam is closed during the pandemic and we don't know when it will be reopened.

This was an excellent trip, the van was clean, spacious and very comfortable, the guide was kind, polite and knowledgeable. The trip was efficient but not hurried. There was lots of adventure, snacks and frequent stops. there was ample time allowed to enjoy the Canyon and the many other areas for picture taking . It was a good value for the money spent

Our guide was so great. Very knowledgeable and fun to talk to. It’s a lot of driving and he made sure to make some fun spots and ensure we were always comfortable. I would and will recommend this tour and this company!

Grand Canyon is breathtaking. Hoover Dam and Lake Mead are truly astonishing in what they accomplished back then.

The tour itself is really good, but in the Viator description, it clearly states it is limited to 7 passengers. On our tour, it was 12 adult passengers (10 men, 2 women) crowded into a 14 passenger van that was really 13 passenger with no cargo room. The driver had one passenger seat fully utilized with her necessities for the tour and herself. The small cargo area was full with warm water and warm drinks in coolers, but the ice had probably been from the day before and was melted. Layer your clothing, it gets hot in the van when it is full and minimize any backpacks as there really isn't any room except between your legs. Started at 5:30 am and ended about 8:30 pm. I am not sure this is a Coexist issue (tour operator) or a Viator issue, but it should be fixed.

Great tour guide, decent tour

The tour itself made for a very long day, 17 hours with a lot of it being in the van. We were able to see some great attractions, but if a no-show group would have shown, the van would have been too tight for such a long day. Also, lunch was provided really early. Our guide went out of his way to make sure we were seeing all the attractions, made the right amount of stops to let us stretch and use the bathroom, and was more than willing to take photos. Also, the driver made multiple attempts to try and contact a group of no-shows to provide them their tour experience!

The sightseeing is great, the experience of a small group makes it even better... just one thing as part of what is mentioned that is included, breakfast was not given, but our guide Scot was so good and patient that we forgot that.

Overall OK

The tour was good, and the guide, Eli, very friendly. However, on the website it's stated that breakfast is included (which wasn't) and when I asked about it the reaction was like I was talking nonsense. We did a stop to buy snacks. It's also stated that the tour is for a maximum of 7 people; we were a group of 10. I just don't like to be provided with fake or deceiving information.
