Return Details

Returns to original departure point
This tour covers a lot of ground in and around Grand Canyon National Park, so its an early morning pickup from your Flagstaff or Sedona hotel to kick off your day of travel via mini-coach.

Wupatki National Monument is your first major stop. As your guide explains, the ancient Native American civilization of Sinagua lived here for 400 years. Then ancient desert dwellers witnessed the dramatic eruption of Sunset Crater Volcano nearly a millennium ago, which destroyed their homes and forced them out. Your tour includes a visit to the lava fields at Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument.

Take a break from touring with a stop for lunch at the historic Cameron Trading Post. The view of the Little Colorado River Gorge from the deck here is especially striking.

After lunch, re-board your mini-coach to head into the Grand Canyon for an afternoon of exploring this magnificent natural wonder. Stop at lookout points along the canyon's East Rim and South Room for dramatic vistas of gorges below. There's time at leisure for exploring on your own at your own pace.

Throughout the entire day, whether you're exploring by foot or on the mini-coach, your expert guide teaches you about the history, archaeology, geology, and flora and fauna of the Grand Canyon and the surrounding area.

I really enjoyed everything in the tour, specially the hospitality and friendly attitude of the tour guide: Steve. He is excellent guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. Everything was punctual and credible. I'll be happy to use the company again someday and highly recommend them to anyone who wishes to explore the area!

Our tour guide, Bert, was very knowledgeable about the area and knew all the good places for pictures.he was very nice and patient with us. We wouldn’t want to tour with anyone else. Highly recommendable. The sights were spectacular and awe-inspiring. Great tour overall.

I have been in the Grand Canyon before but never took tour. Our tour guide knew where to go and what to look out for. I would never found spots he has pointed out. He also know so much about the history of the Canyon. Perfect days with awesome photos.

The tour was amazing! It was easy to book online. I had clear and transparent communication with Viator. Temperatures were checked before entering the van with a small group (6 people total). Steve, our tour guide was amazing! I definitely will recommend this tour to friends and family!

Great experience! We enjoyed touring with Chris. This is a must-do, particularly for those who are visiting the Grand Canyon for the first time. It allows you to see the main sights and understand some of the history. The downside was that we were limited on time at each stop; we felt a bit rushed. We plan to go back to stay longer at the spots we enjoyed most. Thank you for a wonderful time!

The tour & guide (Mark) were great. However, when we made it to the Canyon all we saw was fog & clouds. We could not see more than 10’ in front of us and it was extremely disappointing to say the least. Mark did his best at different spots but the weather would not cooperate. As a consolation the tour operator treated us to the IMAX. It was appreciated! We returned the next day on our own from Sedona & finally SUCCESS! It was WORTH the effort!!!!!

Our tour guide Math was great. The tour time allocations are not very good. I would prefer less time for lunch ( maybe a lunch box ) and more time in the village to explore. The tour bus not bad but not the most comfortable seats.

This was a very informative tour, and took us to places we would never have known to go to on our own. At the Grand Canyon our tour guide knew the best places to view the beauty of the Canyon. We were very pleased with our experience.
